This is the portrait of Ira Perot, Tamara's neighbor in Paris and intimate friend for over 50 years. To Tamara, this was one of her favorite paintings. This amorous masterpiece uses satin's tendency to hug the body creating a brilliant effect, highlighting the model's charms. At the same time, the calla lilies, a favorite of Lempicka, are depicted wrapping around themselves as sensually as the white material wraps around Ira P's body.
